It's very easy to let the week/weekend run away with you, but one thing you must witness before flying home is the breath-taking Ibiza sunset. You might be knackered from the evening before and attempting to force a disco nap before your next big night, but dragging yourself out to the rocks of Mambos or to a glorious beach to watch the sun go down is a magical moment and a holiday highlight for many.
On this idyllic island, there are hundreds of places to enjoy an unforgettable sunset, so we’re going to recommend six of our favourite places to watch the sunset. See below.
1. THE SUNSET STRIP 
The Sunset Strip is probably the most famous of all the sunset locations in Ibiza. Located in San Antonio, the strip of bars along the seafront make for the most picturesque setting to enjoy food and cocktails under the horizon. Listen to some of the best DJs with a clear view of the glowing sunset; Renowned venues such as Cafe Mambo, Cafe del Mar, Savannah and Mint Lounge are of the most popular places to visit in the evenings.
If you venture a little further on from the rocks you will find some quieter bars such as Golden Buddha, Bamboo and Kasbah. All with fantastic gastronomic choice and still an amazing sunset view, be sure to book in advance and avoid the disappointment of missing out on a great view.
If you're on a budget, then head to the nearest corner shop, grab a few tinnies and sit on the rocks. Wherever you end up sitting, expect lots of people, a lively atmosphere, and spectacular views.
2. Sunset in CALA CONTA 
Cala Conta is one of the most popular beaches on Ibiza. You can head to any of the three beaches around the area and experience a panoramic view of the stunning sunset. The beach bar overlooks the entire bay and the famous Sunset Ashram claims to be the best sunset in Ibiza. The restaurant serves the delicious Mediterranean, Indian and Japanese food. But remember, it gets quite busy so if you want to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun go down then be sure to head down early to get a good spot.
3. Sunset in ES VEDRA ROCK 
Rumour has it that Es Vedra is said to be the third most magnetic rock in the world where you can soak up the magical sunset with your friends, family, or even by yourself. A place of pure tranquillity, peace and love. Be sure to take your camera as the stunning backdrop makes for an incredible photoshoot.
4. Sunset at BENIRRAS BEACH Ibiza
On Sunday evenings in the northern part of the island, Benirras Beach is of the busiest places on the island. Local drummers perform on the beach as the awe-striking sunset sinks behind the breath-taking islet Es Cap Bernat.
In peak season, it can become very busy and slightly chaotic, so we recommend going during the quieter part of the season or hire a boat close to the event so you can still hear the enchanting sound of the drums in the background.
5. Sunset in a Boat
Hiring a boat on the island is definitely on the ‘must-do’ list when visiting Ibiza, and there are various companies offering sunset excursions which run around the golden hour’s so you can watch the sun dip in the sky and drop into the sea whilst relaxing in the company of your friends and family.
