The news dropped last week of a 12-hour marathon event for Octan's closing celebrations and we could hardly wait another seven days to discover the fresh underground talent lined up for the finale. It's about to get sweaty one more time in the intimate basement as some of the hottest selectors have been assigned decks duty. The Playa d'en Bossa venue is the place to be on Sunday 6 October. Here's why.
After rocking Ushuaïa Ibiza at the elrow closing party earlier in the week, techno-Queen Chelina Manuhutu will be switching the mammoth open-air venue for the close underground space known as the Specter room inside of Octan. Her groovy tech-house style has caught the eyes of clubbers over the past couple of years and we can't wait to see what she's made of inside the tight-knit surroundings of Octan - we expect her to go a little deeper as we hear she has plenty of tech-house belters up her sleeve.
Lauren Lo Sung, Kellie Allen and Lindsay Matthews will also represent the talented female force booked for the basement and Anna Tur will present her unique sounds of the most current house to melodic techno in the Specter. She is the director of Ibiza Global Radio and one of the most charismatic artists on the island, lest we forget her undeniable flare as a top-notch electronic DJ.
Additionally, Concept101 resident Scardua, Jordan Masters, Paul Compson, Bonifacy, Weatherman and Depperfect label boss Stefano Noferini will be in the Specter.
A man who needs no introduction, Ibiza stalwart Steve Lawler is already announced to return to the gritty Basement along with Darius Syrossian, East End Dubs, ANTOR, Leon, Wade and Reelow.
The line up for the Lab is yet to be confirmed and the young rising stars to make an impression in the funky disco toilets located downstairs are also yet to be announced, but trust me, it is always going off - be sure to check it out!
As you can see, excitement can be found at every corner of the maze-like venue. From the alfresco roof terrace to downstairs in and amongst the madness, the punchy VOID sound system and stipped back vibrant lighting makes for a tasty indulgement of underground clubbing that is incomparable to any other venue on the island.
