In 2014 Martin Solveig will be at the party Pure of Pacha every Saturday. He was at the 29th position in the ranking of the DJMag top 100 in 2011 and 48th in 2012.
Martin Laurent Picandet, better known under his stage name Martin Solveig, is a French electro-house DJ and producer from Paris. He also hosts a weekly radio show called "C'est La Vie" on stations worldwide including FG DJ Radio in his homeland.
In 2007 he was interviewed and explained that he is Christian, and said: "God gave me the talent, I just thank him, and used it for good." On several occasions he has expressed concern about the violence and that depends on the churches convey a positive message to stop this. Born in 1976, got his first turntables at 13 years old, but it was not until 1992 when Martin decided to start his career in electronic music even though he was educated in classical music. As a child, Martin Solveig joined the choir of the Petits Chanteurs de Sainte-Croix de Neuilly where he had a classical music training and became soprano soloist under the direction of François Polgár. At the age of 18, he became a DJ and then started to work in famous Parisian nightclubs such a L'Enfer, Le Queen, Les Bains Douches.
His label is called Mixture Stereophonic. He has collaborated with Dragonette, Kele of Bloc Party, and Madonna.
In 2011 Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager, contacted Martin Solveig and requested him to submit several demos for the next album of the singer, MDMA. The American star did not hesitate to hire in London and recorded with him. He was in charge of the production of several of the songs on the album, among them are the singles ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’, ‘Turn Up the Radio’ in addition to songs and ‘I Do not Give A’ and ‘Beautiful Killer’.
Solveig was also made the in house DJ for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards where he paid homage to the classic themes from movies such as Pulp Fiction.
