Axwell is a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer and record label owner. He is one third of what once was the Swedish House Mafia along with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. After separation of Swedish House Mafia, formed another musical project with Sebastian Ingrosso called Departures, on June 19, 2013 in Ushuaïa.

In 2014, he will also be in Departures every Wednesday with Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso. Axwell's interest in music appeared at an early age, having taught himself to play the drums by age nine. Four years later, the 13 year old exchanged his drums for a computer so he could create each element of his music independently. Known for being one of the few DJ's dance music that has been part of the top 10 in the list of DJs and still maintains its recognition in the underground world of electronic music.

Among his most famous successes include 'Feel the Vibe', 'Watch the Sunrise', 'What A Wonderful World' (with Bob Sinclar) 'Tell Me Why' (with Steve Angello) and 'I Found U'. The single 'Leave the World Behind' is a collaboration with fellow Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, Laidback Luke and Filipino Canadian singer Deborah Cox, this promising production was one of the biggest electronic music singles of 2009 officially the second single best dance music sold in the United States.

His production Axtone Records is one of the most demanding dance music labels. It has been part of the poster's WEDJ Opium in Barcelona for three consecutive years with his colleagues Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia. He was at the 12th position in the ranking of the DJMag top 100 in 2011 and 23th in 2012. In Ibiza, he was nominated for ‘Electro House' at DJ Awards 2013 but finally was Hardwell who won the prize.
